Subdomain marked as "banned on Cloudflare" in Shopify – Need manual review

What is the name of the domain?

happyhaircombr

What is the error number?

There is no error number. This is not a standard 1XXX Cloudflare error. It’s a Shopify system message.

What is the error message?

“The domain is banned on Cloudflare. Please contact Cloudflare support.”

What is the issue you’re encountering

We created the subdomain contahappyhaircombr to connect it to Shopify. The DNS record is a CNAME pointing to shopsmyshopifycom, with proxy disabled (grey cloud / DNS only). However, when we try to connect the subdomain inside Shopify, it displays an error saying the domain is “banned on Cloudflare”. This prevents us from enabling customer login via this subdomain. There are no visitor access issues, no RayIDs, and no Cloudflare block messages — this appears to be an internal configuration issue related to Shopify’s SaaS usage of Cloudflare.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

DNS correctly configured (CNAME to shopsmyshopifycom, DNS Only)

Never used Proxied mode (orange cloud)

Waited over 24 hours for propagation

Tried re-adding the subdomain on Shopify

Contacted Cloudflare support — only received automated replies unrelated to the real issue

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

Go to Shopify > Settings > Domains

Attempt to connect contahappyhaircombr

Shopify shows the message:
“O domínio está banido no Cloudflare. Atendimento para o Cloudflare.”

The subdomain cannot be connected, and customers cannot log in

This is usually related to a billing issue. Check the billing tab in your Cloudflare dashboard for an overdue balance. If this doesn’t resolve the issue, open a billing support case and past the case number here.
