Can you configure subdomain while under the Free Plan ?

If you mean by “configuring” adding a hostname that is not a domain under a publicly recognised domain, then yes, you won’t be able to do this with a regular account but would either need a Business or an Enterprise account.
With the former you could configure a CNAME setup, which would still require you to add the domain itself, however you won’t need to change nameservers. The latter should allow you to really just configure that one hostname without even having to add the domain itself. The agent assigned to your Enterprise plan will be able to help you in that case.
