SubDomain - 404 Error - Blog

Yesterday I created sub-domain for my blog. My programmer installed WordPress

I create a new CNAME record with the name ‘blog’ with content ‘domainname.com’

The problem is 30 hours later still appears 404 error.

What could be the problem?

CNAME usually needs cooperation from the destination server to respond to that hostname.

Is there a reason you want ‘blog’ pointed to your root domain? Why not just forward ‘blog’ to your root domain? The following tutorial can help, but instead of redirecting ‘www’, you’ll redirect ‘blog’
