SSL www to non-www not working

ssl

Hi.

I am having the following issues with the Cloudflare Flexible SSL (Always use HTTPS, Automatic HTTPS rewrites)

Before activating the Cloudflare SSL the website in question nicely redirected from
http://www.example.com to http://example.com same goes for
www.example.com to example.com

After the Cloudflare SSL activation when I type in the I the following into the address bar:
example.com > https://example.com (green lock)
http://example.com > https://example.com (green lock)
www.example.com > https://example.com (css, js, certain images are not loading, gray lock with yellow triangle in address bar - mixed content)
http://www.example.com > https://www.example.com (css, js, certain images are not loading, gray lock with yellow triangle in address bar - mixed content)

Can someone let me know where to start to fix this issue?

Hey there,

Check out this article for addressing the mixed content. Your browser’s dev tools will alert you to what specifically is causing the error:

It’s difficult to diagnose the redirect without having an actual URL unfortunately.

The mixed content issue has been resolved. It was caused by a hard coded wrong base url in the html file. So all website versions have a green lock. The redirection from www to non-www does not work. However, I am not sure if this is a problem or just an aesthetical issue.

Hi,

There woudn’t be a redirect from www to non-www unless there’s one present on your origin server or you have a URL Forwarding Page Rule set up, such as:
