Error:
“Connection to site is not secure”

Describe the issue you are having:
I have a cloudflare-issued SSL, it worked before until host was bought and taken over by godaddy.

What error message or number are you receiving?
Site loads, is not secure anymore.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

  1. Deactivate certificate, followed by reactivation of SSL.
  2. Decreased TTL to 1 minute
  3. Contacted hosting support

Was the site working with SSL prior to adding it to Cloudflare?
Yes. Several years (media temple)

What are the steps to reproduce the error:

  1. Unknown

Have you tried from another browser and/or incognito mode?
Yes (Chrome, Brave, Safari, Tor, Firefox).
Yes.

Please attach a screenshot of the error:

Are you seeing a 526 error? I suspect in the transition the certificate on your origin server was removed/expired or otherwise taken away and your TLS/SSL setting is Full (strict). If you only need to reach your origin server via cloudflare, you can create your own certificate on the origin server app of the cloudflare dashboard

So, delete the old certificate, and create a new CSR for the domain(s)?

You don’t need a CSR. If you enable the Cloudflare proxy for your site, you can download an Origin certificate and install it on your server.
