Website showing an expired SSL certificate even though it’s set up automatically

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

The SSL is automatically renewed via Cloudflare and there is currently no action I’m aware that I can take.

Was the site working with SSL prior to adding it to Cloudflare?

Yes

Flexible

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

Going to the website shows the error.

Your DNS records are not proxied and are set to “DNS only”, so requests are going direct to your origin so you need to update the certificate there…

You should do that anyway even if using the Cloudflare proxy, and use Cloudflare with SSL/TLS mode set to “Full (strict)” so your site is secure. Flexible is not secure.
