SSL renewal

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

Our client’s website utilizes a Cloudflare SSL certificate, which is set to expire soon. Given the importance of security, we need to ensure that the certificate is renewed promptly. We need to determine whether this certificate automatically renews or if any configurations are required on our part. May I know if it will renew automatically?

Valid from :Thu, 26 Dec 2024 08:29:58 UTC
Valid until :Wed, 26 Mar 2025 09:27:39 UTC (expires in 2 months and 27 days)

The certificate will expire in 89 days for the shared domain URL.

Since behind Cloudflare proxy :orange: and using Universal SSL certificate, the Universal SSL certificate renews automatically. No need to worry about and change anything.

Seems to be renewed lately or today.

However, if you’re having an SSL certificate installed on your origin host, double-check for it’s validity as well.

  1. Use the “Pause Cloudflare on Site” option from the Overview tab for your domain at dash.cloudflare.com .
  2. The link is in the lower right corner of that page.
  3. Give it five minutes to take effect, then make sure site is working as expected with HTTPS without any error
  4. Check with your hosting provider / Plesk panel / cPanel AutoSSL / Let’s Encrypt / ACME / Certbot and manually click to renew it
  5. Only then, when your website responds over HTTPS, you should un-pause Cloudflare and double-check your SSL/TLS setting to make sure it’s set to Full (Strict).
