SSL not yet activated after 24 hours

Its been more than 48 hours i have registered my domain with Cloudflare for free SSL plan and also updated my DNS nameservers but the ssl is still not active on my website.
The status on the Cloudflare dashboard is showing as
Status: Website not active (DNS modification pending)

Could anyone tell me what the problem is?
