Hi, I am on a free plan with Cloudflare for my website which comes with a free SSL covering www.mydomain.com. We added yesterday a subdomain to the site www.blog.mydomain.com but it seems the SSL doesn’t cover two levels subdomains. I read that buying a dedicated SSL certificate ($5/m) would cover www.blog.mydomain.com. I’d appreciate it if someone could validate this info for me and do I need to upgrade to business for me to do that? Thanks a lot for your help.
True, the certificate only covers the third level, not any deeper.
Thats correct too. You wouldnt need to upgrade to business but you’d need a " Dedicated SSL Certificate with Custom Hostnames" for $10 a month.
