Ssl for sub domain is not working

I have activated ssl for my domain, it is working properly, while moving into wildcard or sub domain ssl certificate is not available

can anyone help to activate ssl for wildcard or it is mandatory to purchase a dedicated certificate and also, please suggest which one to purchase

Regular subdomains work with Universal SSL. What’s the hostname that’s not working?

my host name is

example.com

my wild car name is

*.example.com

  • denotes it can be dynamic

The certificate at example.com is not a wildcard certificate. It only covers:
DNS Name: www.example.org
DNS Name: example.com
DNS Name: example.edu
DNS Name: example.net
DNS Name: example.org
DNS Name: www.example.com
DNS Name: www.example.edu
DNS Name: www.example.net
