SSL doesn't work on subdomain

Hi,

I want to apply an SSL certificate on a subdomain with www prefix.
To do so, I have created an origin certificate that include the following hosts:
*.adigolan.co.il,
*.sandbox.adigolan.co.il,
adigolan.co.il

After I have installed the origin certificate in cPanel - all the domains work perfectly fine, except from the subdomain with the www prefix. Unfortunately, No matter what I do, it doesn’t seem to work properly.

Just for extra clarification:
adigolan.co.il - works.
www.adigolan.co.il - works.
sandbox.adigolan.co.il - works.
www.sandbox.adigolan.co.il - doesn’t work.

Now, I think that my origin certificate is configured and installed correctly, otherwise the other domains would’nt have worked. therefore, I suspect the problem is linked to the edge certificate, because when I look at what hosts my edge certificate cover, this is what I get:
*.adigolan.co.il,
adigolan.co.il

It doesn’t cover *.sandbox.adigolan.co.il. I think that this is the reason it doesn’t let me enter the site.

To fix this problem, do I need to order an Advanced Cloudflare Certificate? I just didn’t fully understand what an advanced certificate provide, so I am unsure if it’s what I need.

Now, I am obviously no expert, so if you think my assesment is wrong, than please correct me :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you

You have secured your server perfectly fine (just make sure you are on Full Strict) and you are right in your observation. You do need an ACM certificate.

An ACM certificate is not that different from the standard certificate, however you can customise the hostnames and add levels beyond the first one. Only thing, it is paid.

Subdomain too deep has all the details on that.
