SSL doesn't work for sub-sub domain

Hi, community!

So I have the main site at domain.com and dev version at dev.domain.com.

Each of them has an admin section set as a subdomain, e.g.:
admin.domain.com and admin.dev.domain.com

So all proxies and SSL work fine except for admin-dev-domain-com.

And I believe it’s because of the sub-sub domain thing, as I found that SSLs don’t support 4th level domain names.

I tried to add dev-domain-com as a separate site to CloudFlare, and it didn’t allow me to do that.

Any solution for this?

Subdomain too deep

This tutorial covers a possible reason for the SSL_ERROR_NO_CYPHER_OVERLAP and ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH errors (Firefox and Chrome respectively) when seen on a subdomain. The Cloudflare universal certificates cover example.com and *.example.com. This means that it covers any subdomain one level below the domain you signed up with.
