I restored a 3 days old backup of my website. Hosting providers told me the SSL from the cloud/cdn is expired. I removed DNS from Cloudflare and website is secure now. Can you help with this so I can add the Cloudflare DNS again ?
What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?
Removed DNS from Cloudflare.
When I add them I got a ssl expired warning.
Was the site working with SSL prior to adding it to Cloudflare?
Restoring a backup of your site won’t affect the Cloudflare edge SSL. It seems you have just updated the SSL certificate on your origin today so your site should work correctly when you set the nameservers back to Cloudflare.
You don’t need to change the nameservers away if problems, just set the DNS records to “DNS only” in Cloudflare, or pause Cloudflare, while you fix an issue.
Use only “Full (strict)” or “Strict” so your origin SSL certificate is validated by Cloudflare making your site secure.
