How long has it been “authorizing” for?
Multiple days. Tried generating a new certificate with CFCA. Same result, that also has been multiple days now. Total delay is close to a week now.

Have you contacted Cloudflare support?
Yes

If you have, how long ago and what is the ticket number?
Ticket # 1546402
4 days ago the ticket was filed.
2 days ago I got a reply suggesting to set SSL from strict to non-strict.
But I’m using the CFCA app to get cloudflare generated certs server-side, so I should have it on strict.
Never the less I put it to non-strict to work allong with support… No change in the situation.

Also I replied to this ticket saying I believe the strict/non-strict has nothing to do with this. Regardless of server-side situation.
the clientside cert should at least get authorized by cloudflare.
Universal SSL Status is stuck at “Authorizing Certificate” closing in on a week in total now.

I have not had a reply to this.

What is the plan level for the domain in question?
Free

What error, if any, is displaying on your site at the moment?
Cannot communicate securely with peer: no common encryption algorithm(s). Error code: SSL_ERROR_NO_CYPHER_OVERLAP
This is regardless of what I do serverside… so the Error indicates a problem between client<->CF SSL

Are you signed up directly through Cloudflare or through a hosting provider/partner?
Directly through Cloudflare

Thanks in advance for any help

I’m attempting to reorder your :cert:, and if that doesn’t work I’ll try to get this escalated.

#92

That did the trick.
Thank you!

@dwin - Your forum email, and the email you used to submit that support ticket, don’t seem to be linked to the domain in question. Please submit a ticket from an address linked to the domain so that we can help.

This is not an option to bypass the support queue. You posted here minutes after filing your ticket. Please either post some of the details indicated in the opening post, or give the support agents some time to get to your ticket.

Please read the first post of hist thread and follow the instructions.

Purchased URL on GoDaddy but no other provider/partner here. Sadly, my level of expertise on this area is a little lower.

I am not using this reply to get around support. I am using this as a benchmark for when I filed a ticket and anything I can do (but wait).

The last time, more than 24 hours, the certificate is still not authorized to complete. I have tried several times before, and the certificate authorization took more than 4 days, and not to complete.
Please tell me why… My domain name is “microsoft-asia.com” , and the “Let’s Encrypt” certificate has been deployed on the server. https is work ok ,when not use CDN.

Hi,

I am new to Cloudflare. My website doesn’t have https at all natively. I added the domain to Cloudflare and the DNS is being served by Cloudflare now. If I go to https on my website I do now get a response (I didn’t before), but it is “ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH”.

On the Crypto tab it shows “Universal SSL Status Initializing Certificate”.

I have emailed support, no response as yet (ticket #1555408).

Is it just that there are lots of people setting this up at the minute (for obvious reasons) and it is all a bit backlogged, or could there be an issue specific to me?

Cheers,

Chris
