SSL cert renewal and DNS

Hello everyone,
I received an email from Cloudflare, and I have literally no idea what this is or how to do it.
I have had to remove the links in this post to get it through

Please advise.
Thank you
Tony

Certificate Renewal

Domain: MYSITE mail dot MYSITE

Organization: Cloudflare, Inc.
San Francisco, CA*

Review Certificate Request

Hello,

As part of the Cloudflare SSL certificate renewal process, we need you
to re-approve the domain mail dot MYSITE mail dot MYSITE
mail dot MYSITE so that
we can re-issue SSL certificates for use on our network. If you
previously validated this domain using the HTTP DCV method, you are
receiving this email because mail dot MYSITE mail dot MYSITE
mail dot MYSITE no
longer resolves to Cloudflare’s edge and thus we cannot automatically
complete the renewal process.

Your current certificate expires on Sun Jun 12 23:59:59 +0000 2022. If
you do not complete the validation by the expiration date, Cloudflare
will remove this certificate from the edge.

Add the following CNAM(E) entry to your authoritative DNS provider to
avoid certificate expiration:

_ca3-fd11c6c643494807bcce9aa3ab308a83.mail dot MYSITE mail dot MYSITE
mail dot MYSITE
CNAM(E) dcv digicert dot com

After adding this record, click the following link to complete the
renewal process:

Alternatively, remove the hostname if it is no longer in use.

Thanks,
The Cloudflare Team

Can you share the domain name? The zone in the account you are using here is initializing, so I suspect this applies to an active zone in another account?

I suspect Cloudflare support may have contacted you because the Universal edge certificate that you have on your dashboard is about to expire. I am gussing that Cloudflare is not able to renew this certificate because your account is setup as partial CNAME - meaning: this account was configured to retain the nameservers provided by your registrar, or you run your own nameservers and you don’t want to switch your nameservers to Cloudflare ones. But, if you can share the domain name we can investigate.

Hi, thanks for the reply.
My site is tonyfanningphotography dot co dot uk
They seem to specifically mention mail.tonyfanningphotography dot co dot uk

Thanks again

Thank you. In looking at tonyfanningphotography.co.uk I don’t see that the nameservers were ever set to Cloudflare
https://securitytrails.com/domain/tonyfanningphotography.co.uk/history/ns

Nor do they currently point to Cloudflare

I show the zone as initializing in your account but I also see a cf certificate. Can you login to dash.cloudflare.com and select a plan type (I’d start with free). If you are not presented with that option, please share a sreenshot of your dashboard screen.

Hello! I have exactly the same email and the links within simply do nothing. I am very confused and my site is down. Did you get a solution to this that worked for you @sales99 ??
