Thanks

It appears that the record is :grey: Make sure to enable Cloudflare by toggling it to :orange: in your Cloudflare DNS tab.

great thanks for the help, at least i have https now, ill have to do some work on the template but thats my deal… thanks alot i soooo overlooked that

The issues with your template are related to mixed content. Meaning your site is trying to load images, stylesheets etc without going through HTTPS.

A search and replace + making sure that the base url in the platform you are using is set to be prefixed with https will do magic

Hi thanks, after changing the cloud to orange and also selecting always use https now i dont get anything on the page at all and it says it is not redirecting properly.

i did check the subdomain here

and also the main domain here

and it did show that everything is find on that end.

so it has to be a site or server issue. The main domain oxamerica.com does load in https with no issues but the sub domain that i official added via cpanel sub domain demo.oxamerica.com is not loading at all now.

The page isn’t redirecting properly

An error occurred during a connection to demo.oxamerica.com.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

but i accept cookies with FF and with Chrome

I suppose that it could be that fact that demo.oxamerica.myhost.com does not have a assignment in my sub dir section of cpanel. I am maxed out with 2 sub domains so this might be the issue, or a issue.

i dont think a file permission issue would cause this, any suggestions?

does the dns record for demo.oxamerica.com need to be a A record or C record

here is my dns

OK i finally got it… whewwwww

To try to explain this… i am using oxwall for my demo.

now oxwall installed in a root domain requires you to change the http to https in the config file to use ssl.
however, i discovered if you have oxwall installed in a subdomain (not a sub folder but a official dns sub domain) sub.mysite.com then it is different.

For that situation you leave the http as is in the config file and you just choose the always use https option in Cloudflare. And so now both mysite.com and sub.site.com load under https.

wonderful… i hope sharing this helps someone down the line  and i dont know if this is the case with using WP in a sub domain or not.
