One of my copied DNS records is SRV and is named _sip._tls
Next to this record is a red triangle that says, “This record exposes the IP address used in the CNAME record on sip.website-address, which you have proxied through Cloudflare.”
What does this mean and is this record necessary?
It just means that if you are trying to hide the IP address of your server by proxying your DNS entries, then they’re not entirely hidden by this DNS entry.
In your situation, this is unavoidable, because you have an unproxyable service on the same server as your website.
Is this record necessary? We can’t help with that, as DNS records are not determined by Cloudflare. They are determined by you, and the services you need.
