Hello everyone,
I’ve got a TXT record that Google insists should have a TTL of 1 hour. However, no matter what I try, it remains unchanged. Even after deleting and recreating it, the TTL stays at 5 minutes. What could be the issue here?
Thx

Do you have any other TXTs on the same hostname? If so then you can’t have multiple records of the same type with the same name and so the shortest TTL value would be used for all of them.
If that’s not the case here then can you share a screenshot of the record and the hostname it’s on?
Thanks, yes so assuming it’s the SPF record on the parent domain then my guess was correct.
You have several TXTs for that same hostname and therefore the shortest TTL will be used for all of them. You’d either need to go with the TTL as it is or update all the records with the same name to use the same TTL.
