SPF Records on DNS

I want to add SPF for a particular Domain on Cloudflare.

I have 2 options:

  1. Add it as an SPF Record
  2. Add it as a TXT Record

What is the difference, and which is the best way to add an SPF record?

Record type SPF is deprecated and should NOT be used. Use TXT record.

Strange that they still have that option there. Confuses a lot of users.

Oh yes. Iā€™m on a one-man mission to get it removed. No idea why its there.
