Email beta is telling me to use
v=spf1 include:_spf.mx.Cloudflare.net ~all
as my SPF address.
My understanding of SPF is this validates email that is SENT from this domain. Cloudflare does not have outbound email servers - so why would I set my SPF as Cloudflare?
I believe it’s because the target mailbox will see a return address header from Cloudflare on forwarded email.
I too are confused… I forward my emails to my personal gmail account, and use it to send email as my [email protected] account… According to google I need to add this to my TXT record:
v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ~all
Which one should I use? And why?
You need to use both. They will combine like this:
v=spf1 include:_spf.mx.Cloudflare.net include:_spf.google.com ~all
Because both environments will be seen as sending email from your domain.
