Spf record for cloudflare mail forwarder

hey
I am little bit confused with SPF record provided by Cloudflare during mail setting setup

  1. I want to include -mx clause
  2. I don’t want to have included therein
    so can I customize/tweak the SPF record for DNS record eg.
    eg.

v=spf1 -mx -ptr -include:_spf.mx.Cloudflare.com -all
or
v=spf1 +mx include:_spf.mx.Cloudflare.net ~all

http://www.open-spf.org/SPF_Record_Syntax/

if we include -mx -ptr in SPF and hard fail it throws “DNS Misconfigured error” why so ?

thx

If you are using Cloudflare MX records, this seems unnecessary.

What are you trying to acheive? Why all the - directives?

This should be .net, not .com.

I don’t want Softail I want complete rejections while it fails.
non-ptr senders will receive rejections completely. non-MX senders will also get failure completely.

you understood already that directives are not included there though bcz it is not necessary.

v=spf1 include:_spf.mx.cloudflare.net -all
