Speed tab shows Enable Automatic Platform Optimization button with APO enabled

We have an APO subscription on one of our websites: https://safelaceactive.eu.
However, I’ve noticed the “Speed” tab shows the “Enable Automatic Platform Optimization” button. When I click the button, I get a green checkmark and the text “Automatic Platform Optimization enabled”. After refreshing the screen, the button is back.

At any time, the text " Visitors to your website see content in x.xx seconds on Cloudflare.", is visible at the top of the page, whether or no the button is showing.

It seems like a cosmetic problem and I assume APO is enabled. However, with the start of APO we had similar issues with APO not willing to enable. That was quickly fixed by Cloudflare.

My question is: how can I see if APO is actually working?

I have the same issue. I think it’s just cosmetic, like you said, but it’s still a little concerning to see that message every time.

You can look at the HTTP response headers to see if APO is actually enabled. Check that in your browser dev tools or with websites like REDbot.

I can see this response on your site now, which suggests that APO is working:
CF-Cache-Status: HIT
cf-apo-via: cache
