We recently purchased a VPS subscription from Namecheap. Previously, our site was on shared hosting, and its availability was very inconsistent. Since we aim to host a large number of visitors in the long run, we decided to switch packages. We kept the shared hosting for our other low-traffic websites.
We set up the VPS, even though we are not experts and don’t understand servers very well. Yesterday, we reported to Namecheap that the speed index was quite poor despite using Cloudflare and Litespeed Cache on our WordPress site. They investigated the case and did not find any problems. Our site’s template is optimized in the best possible way, yet the indexing speed is 5.3 seconds.
Namecheap offers Supersonic CDN for shared hosting accounts, which we tried with another site, and to our surprise, the shared hosting site, which is very poorly optimized, has a speed index of 1 second.
So we don’t understand what the problem might be and would like to ask for help with this.
