A 526 always means that your server did not provide a proper certificate. If you only get this occasionally, that would mean your server returns at times an invalid certificate. Check your server configuration, and especially with load balancer setups, all involved configurations. You can also enable SSL debugging on your web server and check which certificate is sent by your server.
