I’m using GoDaddy email service and I’m getting this notification from Cloudflare when I put GoDaddy DNS for email service:

“Some of your DNS-only records are exposing IP addresses that are proxy through Cloudflare. Make sure to represent all A, AAAA, and CNAME records that refer to proxy records to avoid exposing your source IP.”

Godaddy didn’t provide any additional A, AAAA or CNAME records to solve this issue, is this a warning I should be worried about?

If your mail server is hosted on the same IP address as your website, you’ll get this warning since the mail server will be exposing the IP address of your domain, potentially opening you up to DDOS attacks that bypass Cloudflare. If you want to get rid of this, you can either ask your host to put your mail server on a separate IP address, or sign up for a managed email service such as Google Workspace or Office 365.
