Slow speed on sites opened to public via cloudflare and nginx proxy

What is the name of the domain?

binternet.eu

What is the issue you’re encountering

Hi, recently i have problems with my cloudflare speeds, my ISP is Orange Slovakia, my ISP speeds are 1000/300, the problem is i have sites open to public behind cloudflare and nginx proxy on my server, i set up this in december 2023 and everything worked beautiful. now i experience very slow max speeds, 30/15 via cloudflare, via local network is good, whole server is based on Windows Server where i have 5x linux server vms in HyperV, these VMs have speeds to the internet above 930/290, i checked also if the problem isnt causing adguard home or nginx proxy, but no, Thanks for any advice

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I create new VM with new Adguard Home and NGINX Proxy, not helped
I recheck router settings, thats okay
My internet speed is same everyday apr. 930-950/300, this is good

Hi @patrik1305.binternet,

I’m sorry to hear that you are having issues with your website’s speeds while proxied on Cloudflare. In order to further troubleshoot what could be slowing down your site, could you share a traceroute or mtr? I am wondering if an ISP is causing your traffic to be re-routed through a less efficient route causing the speeds to drop. However, to verify this we would need an MTR or traceroute output. Please make sure your real IP is not displayed when sharing it.

Hi @bujangnim,

My server is connected to the main router via 1Gbps switch, I´m sending you a picture of tracert to the 1.1.1.1 and my private IP and isp ip are behind orange stripe. I can see there adress 192.0.0.1 which from my search are connected with using a vpn, but only vpn i have is a Tailscale, you think tailscale is doing the slow-down?

Thanks a lot

But you had issues with your own domain, binternet.eu?

Run a nslookup for binternet.eu, if that is the domain you’re having issues with, and then run a trace to each individual IP address, that you see returned to you, by the nslookup command.

The IP addresses returned for your domain most likely won’t be 1.1.1.1, and can therefore give a completely different route.

What AS number?

The AS number can be found here:
