Site only accessible for certain region

Hi there,

We are trying to set up a site with a domain from strato, a SSL security through cloudflare and the site will be hosted by heroku. However, we are encoutering a problem regarding the accessibility for different friends.

I am personally able to access the site with the https after all the configs. However, my friend who lives 5km away is no able to access the site with wifi, but managed to access it with 4g/5g. Sending the link to my friends ± 100km away results in an error by using wifi and 4g/5g.

Therefore, we were wondering what the problem might be and how were are able to solve it.

It sounds like you don’t have SSL set at the origin, and this is a frequent reason for 404 errors.

So do you mean the following?

Do you mean that the CNAME of the heroku website is not set properly or that the CNAME in strato should be change to a CNAME provided by Cloudflare (if this is possible)?

Your website should work with HTTPS before you add it to Cloudflare.
