Webflow hosts more than 500,000 websites on Amazon servers under a single IP address.
The TTFB is over one second, and the FCP is nearly six seconds.
We need to transfer our website to Cloudflare to reduce the TTFB.
Hi everyone,
Our website focuses on attic insulation, and this is our busiest season. We absolutely cannot afford any site downtime or performance issues during the migration. I’ve read many articles on how to handle it, but since we’re on the Free Plan with Cloudflare, we don’t have access to direct technical support. We’re also not experienced enough to manage this on our own, which is why I’m reaching out here.
If anyone has experience migrating from Webflow to Cloudflare and can help ensure a smooth transition without risking site stability, I’d be incredibly grateful for your support.
It is great that you are interested in using Cloudflare to enhance your site performance, but it is important to know that Cloudflare does not replace your site. Cloudflare works in between your visitors and your origin site. You can learn more about how Cloudflare works and how to migrate without interruption in the following guides
I recommend against engaging in potentially service impacting work during peak times, such as the current busy season that you mention. Similarly, I advise working with a trusted partner who has a firm grasp on the underlying technologies, so that you can avoid unplanned disruptions.
If you have some more specific questions as you are developing your plan, please feel free to ask here in the Community.
While I don’t have a list of candidates that I can offer you to choose from, I can share some strategies that have worked for me when looking for a partner to assist with a project in a new area. I prefer to start with people that I know in my established network. In your case, if you have worked with a web developer that you liked, who understands the hosting and DNS side of things, I would ask if they would be interested in working with you on this project.
Absent such an option, I would turn to my peers in my professional associations to see if they have anyone that they worked with on a similar project. While it may be best to start with asking your industry peers, you can also leverage less specific connections like your local chamber of commerce. One nice thing about websites is, that since every business needs one, you have a large pool for firsthand referrals.
I hope that helps give you some ideas about where to look for trusted referrals.
