What’s the domain?

Also, give this a try and post the data center name:
http://www.example.com/cdn-cgi/trace

#4

here the result for http://host/cdn-cgi/trace

fl=4f219
h=host
ip=36.75.152.1xx
ts=1553891848.547
visit_scheme=http
uag=Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/73.0.3683.86 Safari/537.36
colo=SJC
http=http/1.1
loc=ID
tls=off
sni=off

from what I see it routed to US not SG?

#5

That’s in California. So your ISP is routing you far away from your region.

Maybe @domjh will write a tutorial on Peering that explains why some ISPs route Cloudflare traffic less efficiently.

so the problem is my ISP?

here 2 another test with another ISP and location but still in Indonesia

fl=12f72
h=host
ip=103.227.254.xx
ts=1553892435.362
visit_scheme=http
uag=curl/7.19.7 (x86_64-redhat-linux-gnu) libcurl/7.19.7 NSS/3.21 Basic ECC zlib/1.2.3 libidn/1.18 libssh2/1.4.2
colo=LAX
http=http/1.1
loc=ID
tls=off
sni=off

===============

fl=20f81
h=host
ip=45.114.118.1xx
ts=1553892782.093
visit_scheme=http
uag=curl/7.29.0
colo=AMS
http=http/1.1
loc=ID
tls=off
sni=off

they still not reouted to SG.

To get best possible routing… please make sure to use EDNS supported public DNS resolver such as 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8.

I use that DNS.

strange, it routed to singapore when open https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/cdn-cgi/trace or http://chanh.club/cdn-cgi/trace

fl=35f159
h=cdn.jsdelivr.net
ip=36.75.152.125
ts=1553894211.33
visit_scheme=https
uag=Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/73.0.3683.86 Safari/537.36
colo=SIN
http=http/2
loc=ID
tls=TLSv1.3
sni=plaintext

It is because I’m free user?

#9

I think, this is possible when you are Free or Pro user, you may not get always exact-match routing as per your “Country”. Cloudflare generally prioritize Business and Enterprise user over Free and Pro plan users.

#10

Not my most knowledgeable area, but happy to give it a go! :slightly_smiling_face: Someone else is probably far better placed to write that tutorial than I am!!

It now fast, I disabled CF in CPanel. now it route to original IP but in header images and other static files I still see CF-Cache-Status: HIT it is mean CF still active on my sites?

#12

If you’re seeing CF headers, then they’re coming from Cloudflare.

#13

Conclusion:
Singapore location is not for Free and Pro plan users.

Do you all agree?

#14

That’s not what that says. All locations, except for China, are available on all plans. But, if there is a lot of traffic at one data center, Cloudflare will prioritize their highest paying customers (they’re still a business). See How Cloudflare choose which server location user connect to?

Cloudflare server high latency
#15

To reduce traffic to expensive datacenter like SG, maybe Cloudflare need to limit the daily bandwidth for free and pro user to that datacenter. It is not fair user with small bandwidth routed to far datacenter because others user (free and pro) already use that datacenter alot.
