What is the issue you’re encountering
We have configured Cloudflare to enhance site performance, but we’ve noticed a significant decline in mobile performance when caching is enabled. Specifically, the Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) increases from around 3 seconds (with cache disabled) to nearly 30 seconds with caching enabled. Our site is predominantly static, so we’ve set the cache settings to “Cache Everything” with an edge TTL of 1 day and a browser TTL of 1 week. We had previously experimented with a 1-month TTL for both, but it did not result in any noticeable improvement. Additionally, we have Rocket Loader disabled to avoid any potential conflicts. When we purge the cache and run page speed tests, performance briefly returns to pre-Cloudflare levels, but subsequent tests show a drop in performance again. We have also tried utilizing Cloudflare’s default file extension cache settings, but this has not made a significant difference either. Could this issue be related to our cache configuration, or might there be another underlying cause? Any guidance or suggestions you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
