Several domains now saying change name server, CF is my registrar already?

What is the name of the domain?

mdcserver2.com

What is the error number?

no error number

What is the error message?

We could not add mdcserver2.com to your account because your nameservers (NS) are not yet pointing to Cloudflare.

What is the issue you’re encountering

as of this last week several domains are now saying change the name server to CF’s nameservers, but the thing is I have had these domians with CF as my registrar all those years. I don’t have access to changing the name servers it says everywhere I cannot.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

Tried to follow any and every documant on how to change them, but I cannot it will not allow me to. I have had this issue in the past and had to have CF support change them and do something else also, been told it is a glitch for those of us who use CF as the registrar. I have had them for years here on CF. I need help from CF support to look over all my domains and change the several that now show I need to change them, and also look for others that have the same issue. It makes no sense to me to have then registred with CF, some bought and renewed from CF, yet I cannot access or change the name servers to make the domains work. They are just sitting dead I need help please!!

I think there’s more going on (the not-so-good kind) that just a nameserver change.

Cloudflare Registrar’s own lookup too cannot find the domain (as of this writing): https://rdap.cloudflare.com/

But ICANN’s lookup tool shows the registrar is Cloudflare, and the domain is not in redemption or any such (expires March 26, 2025). https://lookup.icann.org/en/lookup

Open a Registrar support ticket from your Cloudflare Dashboard so the registrar team can get this sorted for you.

Share the ticket number here so it may be escalated if this gets stuck in the queue.

I thought this was the registrar support ticket I opened? I searched everywhere to find a link to support and this is where I ended up

Can you show me where. I spent hours trying to locate the support

Hey @user17537 you can reach Cloudflare support through this link: https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/support, make sure to choose “Cloudflar Registrar” from the list of options for help.

I don’t think there’s a better “area” for this issue other than “Other / I don’t know”, since it appears to be an issue with their service. Mark the checkbox that says your issue is domain related, choose the affected domains (you will only see domains that were registered with Cloudflare under your account) and describe your issue in the next fields. They will get back to you over email.

You can also find more info on Support here.

Hope this helps!
