Getting a .gov domain stood up – the registration process requires that hosted DNS servers be provided before the domain comes into existence. However, Cloudflare won’t give you DNS server addresses and allow you to configure them until the domain actually exists. Was unsure of what the golden path is for this one. I could probably use a different hosted DNS provider, but I was hoping to keep it here at Cloudflare.
You can use a different provider to get setup and then move to Cloudflare, but some people here seem to have had issues with
.gov and doing that in the past.
What normally happens is you go through Cloudflare’s support and they should be able to manually onboard the domain with those requirements and give you nameservers to use.
