Setting up DNS Recrd - Target not allowed for proxy record

What is the issue you’re encountering

I do not understand how to set up the DNS records

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I have read the instructions I have been able to find multiple times, attempted to add the DNS records multiple times, and searched both the Cloudflare and DreamHost sites for pointers.

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

• I have a site and domain hosted by DreamHost.
• DreamHost provides instructions on setting up Cloudflare here: https://help.dreamhost.com/hc/en-us/articles/7087974733332-Create-a-free-Cloudflare-account.
• I followed the instructions; however, no DNS records were displayed as indicated in step 1.4.
• Accordingly, I attempted to create new records per the instructions at https://help.dreamhost.com/hc/en-us/articles/7181260919572-Updating-DNS-records-at-Cloudflare.
• In Cloudflare, I entered the first CNAME record as it appears in my DreamHost account; however, when I clicked save, I got an error indicating that the target is not allowed for a proxy record.

Set the record to DNS Only when creating it.
