Set up an ALIAS or ANAME record

Heroku requires custom domains to be using an ALIAS or ANAME record starting end of this month.

These records don’t seem to be supported by CloudFlare (I only see CNAME record). Is there a workaround, or do I need to change DNS provider?

Thank you.

Neither of those are RFC compliant DNS record types. If a Proxied (or DNS Only) CNAME record isn’t what they’ll accept, then you’ll have to look elsewhere.

A Proxied CNAME record should act like an ANAME, in that it “flattens” the response directly to an IP address, though not the IP address(es) of the origin (because it’s proxied through Cloudflare’s servers).
