Serve Meta Tags on Forwarded URL's

Hi there,

I have three page rules set up in order to force HTTPS:

  • https :// website .com / --> Forwarding URL (Status Code: 302 - Temporary Redirect, Url: https :// www. website .com /)
  • website .com / --> Forwarding URL (Status Code: 302 - Temporary Redirect, Url: https :// www. website .com /)
  • http :// website .com / --> Forwarding URL (Status Code: 302 - Temporary Redirect, Url: https :// www. website .com/)

These are working fine for their purpose – but I’d like to be able to add meta tags to these non-HTTPS variants – to enable sharing previews. Is there a guide on how I can go about this? Some way to inject meta tags before the Forwarding URL occurs?

Kind regards

You can’t inject meta tags on HTTP redirects as you aren’t sending any HTML. You would need to create an interstital page manually.

If I’m reading your page rules correctly, you can get rid of the first one and the last one. The middle variant has no protocol specified, so will match both http and https

From the page rule tutorial:

The scheme and port segments are optional. If omitted, scheme matches both http:// and https:// protocols. If no port is specified, the rule will match all ports.
