Secondary/slave nameserver

I have a requirement for a secondary/slave nameserver. My first thought was to rent a VM and install bind on it, but then I thought, perhaps Cloudflare or one of the other cloud provides offer this as a service, eventually paid.

I had a look at Cloudflare Plans, but at first glance there only seem very comprehensive plans. I am only looking for this specific service. There is a “contact an expert” option but they want a lot of personal details to even take the call, so I thought I’d ask here first, before checking around the other cloud providers.

Yes, Cloudflare can offer that on an enterprise plan. Or you could just switch your DNS to Cloudflare on a free plan where DNS is advertised on thousands of metals in hundreds of datacenters.

I only host the domains, I don’t always register them, so while it is an excellent system it won’t work for me - I’d need a slave nameserver of my own that accept AXFR transferes from primary.

Any chance you could point me to where I can get more info about this and possibly order?

You’ll need to speak with a sales rep. It’s a non standard offering which can be part of an Enterprise plan.
