What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

Had a spate of bot attacks on this domain of late and have enabled “Bot Fight Mode”. However when trying to access my site’s RSS feed (FLYER) via IFTTT I get a 403 forbidden error.

Running the URL through an RSS validator also throws up problems.

Is there a work around for this, or something I’ll need to live with? Thanks.

Bot fight mode can’t be bypassed with custom WAF rules so you’ll either need to disable it and configure some WAF rules to block the bots, or use Super Bot Fight Mode on a paid plan which will let you skip it for your RSS URL.

Thanks! Have upgraded to paid, set a WAF rule to skip the full URL https://www.flyer.co.uk/feed/ but it’s still failing validation…

The expression is:

(http.request.full_uri wildcard "https://www.flyer.co.uk/feed/")

What am I doing wrong? :slight_smile:

Check the security event log for the blocked requests to get the reason and set the rule to skip features accordingly.

Got it - thanks. I’d created the rule under “managed” rules. I’ve now put put it under “custom rules” and I see the option to skip “All Super Bot Fight Mode Rules” and all looks good.
