the website is not displaying if you type in the root without the www. - we dont want to create a page rule for it to reidrect. It should wirk when someone goes to . It seems our A records are set up correctly and are proxied through cloudflare. I have also purged cache. Site also loads very slow.
What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?
Here is a screenshot of the current DNS:
What feature, service or problem is this related to?
Wonder if web server is correctly configured or 3rd-party service provider is configured to work only with tje www version and not non-www version for your domain?
In case you cannot solve this with your hosting provider, you can create a Redirect rule for non-www to www
I do have my old siteground server offline (where I used to host the website from). But we migrated the site to a new liquidweb dedicated server. Why would it still be pulling from the old siteground server it seems for the ?
The A record in cloudflare for and is proxied with cloudflare. The IP of is the new liquidweb server.
Sounds like your hostname (possibly some other sub-domain) is stuck with SiteGround SSL setup
May I ask have you tried contacting SiteGround support to double-check and remove your domain from their SSL integration?
Earlier, there was a way to do it manually, to liberate the hostname, however it’s now fixed and deprecated:
Kindly, contact SiteGround first. Upon their cross-checking and confirming to you, we can proceed further and you’re main domain would work as expected.
I have deleted all SSL from the old server on siteground. But the issue persists. When you go to with the www. it shows a siteground " Site Currently Unavailable".
Do I need to delete all DNS records from the old siteground server also? Or should that even matter since we have all the DNS records on the new server on liquidweb?
