Hello Cloudflare Community,

I’m having trouble connecting my root domain (zeni.ai) to Webflow. While my www.zeni.ai subdomain works correctly, the root domain does not resolve to the Webflow site.

Current Setup:
I am using Cloudflare as my DNS provider.
My www.zeni.ai subdomain has a CNAME pointing to proxy-ssl.webflow.com (which works fine).
The root domain (zeni.ai) has A records pointing to multiple IPs, but it’s not resolving correctly to Webflow.
Webflow requires specific A records, but I’m unsure how to properly configure this in Cloudflare.
What I’ve Tried:
Checked Webflow’s recommended A records.
Attempted to update Cloudflare DNS, but I’m unsure if existing A records are conflicting.
Ensured the www CNAME is set correctly.
Checked Webflow’s domain status, but the root domain is still not connected.
Questions:
Do I need to remove all existing A records and only keep Webflow’s recommended ones?
Should I disable Cloudflare proxy (orange cloud → gray cloud) for these records?
Are there any best practices for connecting Webflow with Cloudflare while keeping security features?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

You have a lot of IP addresses for your apex domain. Make sure that you only include the ones for Webflow. Also, as one of the apex records is proxied Cloudflare will proxy them all so set that to “DNS only”.

Could you please elaborate more on that proxied domain and will it create any problem for the website or any other software?
because, I’m not sure what’s the purpose of this record.
