I was very happy using Cloudflare’s services for my domain toybird.co.uk. Unfortunately the hosting company I was using failed at the end of last year and I went through lots of pain rescuing the domain and setting it up with a new hosting company. That’s done now; but I’d like to go back to using Cloudflare for its DNS servers and free SSL certificate. Can I do this?
Yes, just add your domain to the same, or a new, account as you did before…
Note that fronting a non-SSL origin with Cloudflare SSL is not recommended as it is not secure. Get your origin set up and working with SSL properly, then add Cloudflare ensuring your SSL/TLS mode is set to “Full (strict)”.
