[RESOLVED] Domain (Medium) and Subdomain (Wordpress)

#1

I have my main site with the domain pointed to Medium (Example: www.example.com). And I have Wordpress installed in a subdomain (Example: store.example.com).

I installed CloudFlare. But if I leave in Crypto as Flexible SSL, it does not work with Medium and if I leave in Crypto as SSL Complete, it does not work with Wordpress.

How to solve this?

#2

Try using “Always HTTPS” (on Cloudflare) and setup your domain in wordpress for https in the configuration.

#3

are you using Cloudflare’s wordpress plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/cloudflare/ ?

#5

Oi Gustavo. Já está configurado assim. Wordpress só aceita SSL Flexivel e Medium só aceita SSL Completo.

#6

Yes, the plugin is installed, but Wordpress only accepts Flexible SSL and Medium only accepts Full SSL. Thank you for trying to help.

#7

i see can’t you use cloudflare full ssl instead + switch wordpress to using https on origin backend ?

#8

But how would I do that?

#9

You sould need to install an ssl certificate on wordpress instance and switch wordpress to https for cloudflare full ssl to work https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200170416-What-do-the-SSL-options-mean- non-strict full ssl allows just using self-signed ssl certificate on wordpress install.

I was able to solve the problem.

Since Medium already has native SSL, I disabled all the DNS entries related to it and left only active entries for the subdomain where I installed Wordpress.

Now everything is working properly. Medium and Wordpress with active SSL.

Thank you all.
