Resolve sub subdomein error

oops I’ve sent out a press release that contains an error in the link provided in the press release. Clicking on the link will result in an error. Some website have already placed the article including the broken link.

The error is that there is a double ‘www.’ in the. Hyperlink resulting in an error on the website.

Is there a way to redirect a sub-subdomain to my www domain?

I’ve tried a page rule, but to no avail:

The DNS is managed by Cloudflare and I have a Free plan.

Please help if you know how I can fix this mistake

Cheers!

You could add a record for the erroneous subdomain so it does resolve, then redirect it to the correct domain using a Page Rule.

Yes, think you for replying. I tried that. Unfortunately it doesn’t work.

I find that strange.

Can you share how you set this up?

Yes of course

www.www.relatiehulp.nl/*
Forwarding URL (Status Code: 302 - Temporary Redirect, Url: www.relatiehulp.nl)

What about the DNS entry? How was that configured? Is it still configured?

Yes, I did try that as well. You will get a different error message when I
CNAME www.www.relatiehulp.nl and forward that to www.relatiehulp.nl
You’ll a security certificate message.
Cloudflare does not support sub-subdomains and I followed the steps to get a certain certificate, but you’ll need the Business Plan. And this is 200/month so… no.

I’m willing to spend upwards of 50€ to resolve this, but not €200.
I’m running out of ideas.

Cheers,
Rik

Thanks by the way for thinking this through with me!
