Reserved IPv6 entry in DNS

Hi,
how can I make an reserved IP entry for IPv6 (AAAA) in the dns (similar to 0.0.0.0 for IPv4).

Thanks

Are you talking about a PTR record? That would need to be managed by the owner of the IP address range, you can’t configure that on Cloudflare.

no, just an placeholder for ddns.

You can enter there any valid address, really does not matter.

::0 should work for example.

okay, thanks :+1:t2:

but it isn’t marked as “reserved IP”. this doesn’t matter?

It really does not matter. You just want a dummy record which you can update later, right?

You can enter any address you want.

yap… so thanks a lot. hope I’ll get it working🙈
