Requests sent to our domain don’t return ETag header unless we disabled the proxied and configured it to be “DNS only”, I found a solution recommended by cloudflare to create a rule and disable some features to support ETag header but the solution didn’t work
Kindly find the rule I’ve created attached
any suggestions ?
The etag header would be used by Cloudflare for caching purposes correct? Is there a reason to transmit that header to the end user or is the lack iof it causing an issue?
we simply send the ETag to cache Large API requests which is logically handled by our system, I suppose cloudflare uses this to caches static content but we do this for a lot other API requests
