We were notified of a malware alert that led to our website being flagged. However, upon further investigation and clarification from Netcraft, it has been confirmed that the alert was mistakenly issued. Netcraft has since published a retraction at https://incident.netcraft.com/3abd312d9dbd/, stating: “We do not believe that malware communicates with this URL. Please ignore any previous request from Netcraft asking to remove content.”
Given this development, we kindly request that the malware alert associated with our website be reviewed and removed from Cloudflare’s systems to prevent any further misunderstanding or disruption to our services.
Additionally, we would like to inquire about Cloudflare’s protocol in such situations. Specifically, do you conduct independent verifications before applying such alerts to websites? Understanding your process will help us better coordinate with our security partners and ensure the highest level of security and reliability for our users.
When I go to corendonhotels.com, I still see a message: “Warning Suspected Phishing This website has been reported for potential phishing. Phishing is when a site attempts to steal sensitive information by falsely presenting as a safe source.”
I have a pro account but not enough for direct chatting. Thank you sjr. For nothing, we have been dealing with a notice for 2 days. This really concerning.
I guess that Netcraft reported the malware site (incorrectly as they admit) to Cloudflare as that’s where the nameservers point and maybe Netcraft hasn’t notified Cloudflare of the correction.
Netcraft has informed me that they have updated everyone again, and support by cloudflare indicated it can take up to 3 days. I’ve now turned off the proxy and used my own SSL. I’ll look further into what I’m going to do on Monday. Thanks for your support.
