my visitors is mostly from Indonesia.
so, it’s better to served my website from CGK, JOG or DPS PoP’s. Not SIN.

can i request to be served from that CGK, JOG or DPS PoP’s only?

The trace shows the colo you (as a user) are being served from. Users in other parts of the world will see a colo closer to them. Here’s mine for the same site…

hi sjr,

thank’s for your response.

recently i just visited my website from Bandung, Indonesia.

and i got SIN as PoP. whereas my location is near CGK, JOG or even DPS than SIN.

The actual PoP used will depend on your ISP’s routing to Cloudflare. They may send traffic to Cloudflare down cheaper longer routes rather than peer locally.

why my ISP route www.cloudflare.com is via CGK but my website via SIN whereas i access them using the same ISP?

Depends how your ISP routes different IP blocks. Maybe your site traffic is low so Cloudflare keeps it in a large data centre as is likely to be in SIN. Maybe, as we see in Germany and India, your ISP charges for peering so Cloudflare only serves paid or business/enterprise accounts from that PoP.

There’s a lot of variables. But to answer your question, no you can’t control it.

is it also affected even i subscribed Argo Smart Routing?
