Replace images (again)

When I want to keep the Custom ID for an image I need to delete the image first.

Deleting the image works as expected. But when uploading the image I often get HTTP error 409. I tried retries, delays but both don’t work. So the image is lost.

This may not happen. It seems Cloudflare Images is not ready to accept the new image with the existing Custom ID.

I would prefer to upload and replace the image instead of deleting the image first.

I’ve created a support ticket for this but even after 24 days there is no response.

re-upload with the same ID only works for images with custom IDs. Do you get 409 for them after removal?

Hi, we don’t support an image override.

Hi @asemiglazov, the 409 error occurs after removing the image from Cloudflare Images.

Please add support to override images with a Customer ID. If this is not something you will plan to support, then please let me know.

the quest was about - if removed image was with Custom ID or not? I assume yes, and then getting 409 is a bug, it should not happen.

We don’t plan to work on this in nearest feature.

Yes it is. I started this topic meationing Custom ID.

Maybe I should look into another product then. Cloudflare isn’t reliable, support isn’t responding and you do not allow us to replace images using a Custom ID.
