Hi Cloudflare Team,
I’m reaching out out of growing concern and frustration. Over the past few weeks, my website has been repeatedly flagged as a phishing site—apparently as a result of malicious reporting, most likely by a competitor. The site in question is entirely legitimate and does not host or promote any phishing-related content. It seems that the name of the website might be misleading automated systems, which could be contributing to the issue.
What’s more troubling is how easily these reports seem to result in warnings being displayed on the site, without any apparent thorough investigation. This not only damages our reputation but also causes loss of traffic and trust among our users.
Despite submitting review requests, we have received no response for several days (sometimes up to 4–5 days or more), leaving our business in limbo. It’s quite concerning that a competitor can so easily abuse the reporting system to disrupt legitimate operations.
I understand the importance of protecting users from genuine phishing threats, and I fully support those efforts. However, I would expect Cloudflare to have measures in place to distinguish between real threats and malicious, targeted false reports. Are there any safeguards to prevent this kind of abuse? And is there a way to expedite reviews in cases where it’s clear that the flag may be based on misleading or competitive intent?
I appreciate your time and hope this matter can be addressed more thoroughly moving forward.
Thank you.
