Renew a certificate with two hosting providers involved

What is the name of the domain?

What is the issue you’re encountering

I need to renew or create a new certificate as the old one expired.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

Used both hosting providers’ backend solutions.

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

Because of performance issues with a site I had to look for a new hosting provider. I moved the WordPress installation to the new hosting provider while maintaining the domain in the old one. I am using Cloudflare, so instead of changing the DNS, I setup the new IPs in Cloudflare. It worked like a charm, in less than five minutes the site was running and working well in the new provider.
So the situation is like this
The old hosting provider still has the domain and all domain-related setups.
Old hosting is pointing DNS records to Cloudflare.
Cloudflare stands there pointing to the IP of the new hosting.
The new Hosting is holding WordPress installation and the database.

It seems the new hosting does not support Let’s Encrypt yet allows the installation of a custom certificate. I did this using the last certificate from my old host but the certificate just expired today. The site is unreachable for now.

Old Hosting says to generate a new SSL certificate the site needs to be fully hosted on their server, which is not the case anymore.
New Hosting says they need DNS records to point out to their servers to create a new certificate, which is also not the case as the DNS records point to Cloudflare.

I tried to follow instructions like this one How to integrate cert-manager with Let's Encrypt and Cloudflare but to be honest I never created a certificate manually and I don’t know what my “cluster” currently is. I feel that running these commands in both hosting providers won’t work because of the weird setup I put myself into.

Any tips?

Your site works now with no certificate error.

Have you managed to resolve your issue now?

If so, what route did you take?

I have to set the SSL encryption to “flexible”, which is not a solution. It’s funny that certificate expiration date. It is supposed the expiration date is 31/12/2024.

TBH I do not know what is happening. I can´t get a new certificate yet my website still works.
