I can’t tell if this a bad thing or some progress. Lightspeed is disconnected from the domain now. This has made is so that the site works without “www” but with the https://www.thehowse.com/ it is giving a 403 Forbidden warning from Cloudflare.
That is indeed odd, it seems like it’s going in the right direction but something is obviously still off. My escalation looks to have gone through so hopefully you have a reply on the Cloudflare ticket and can follow up there with the information from Lightspeed?
This looks to finally be resolved after asking Shopify to reissue the SSL after the disconnection.
Thank you all for the help. You were right about everything. Lightspeed was able to help after using some of the more specific wording mentioned here and pushing back on them. Shopify was just plain wrong the entire time except for one guy who admitted the previous advisors were confusing headers and SSL certificates.
I very much appreciate the community members here helping me get to the bottom of this.
Fantastic!
No problem, glad it’s sorted!
Hello AnnaJ
I have the same problem, I’m at LightSpeed Com, and wants to change to Shopify.
Shopify says Header problem, is the painful problem with LightSpeed?
Does LigSpeed have to release my domain?
Br, Daniel
Is this from a recent interaction with them? Can you post exactly what Shopify told you?
That tells shopify, sorry my english not so good
This should have been resolved so Shopify can deal with this for you.
Thank you for your quick help !!
I have already opened a ticker at Cloudflare and still wait for an answer.
Shopify should be the ones to open a ticket with Cloudflare, they have Enterprise support and will be able to get this resolved much quicker than you can. Please ask them to follow their process to do that. You can send them a link to https://community.cloudflare.com/t/faq-having-difficulties-transferring-domain-to-shopify/342760
if needed.
Ok, I do that. But I have a pro plan at Cloudflare, I’m trying thank you
Before you go further, I would make sure that you have disabled your domain on Lightspeed. You can do this by going to Settings > Domains and deleting the domain so that your “shoplightspeed.com” domain is the default. As long as your real domain is connected it will continue to block Shopify from generating a new SSL certificate so only your domain without “www” will work.
Even though it’s Lightspeed blocking it, Shopify will continue to say it’s Cloudflare. They did this through the entire process for me.
If you’ve already disabled your domain on Lightspeed and it’s still not working, start a ticket with Lightspeed. They pushed back on me once, but if you clarify then will escalate the ticket and provide direct email support. In general, they are 100 times more helpful than Shopify who will just repeat the same script about Cloudfare and dodge all questions about the specifics of the headers that would allow you to actually pinpoint the issues origin.
Hello Annaj
Thanks for your answer, you mean I should now delete the main domain www.elebest.de by lightspeed.
I have already created a ticker at Cloudflare, and asked for deletion of Heard von Elebest.de, at LightSpeed I also have
a ticker opened, I’m still waiting for Answer by Lightspeed and Cloudflare
Yes, if you’ve already connected www.elebest.de to Shopify but it’s not working, it’s probably because it’s still active on Lightspeed as the default.
Based on my experience, Lightspeed was the SaaS blocking Shopify, not Cloudfare.
